Dear Friends,

It is my great pleasure to welcome our returning members to another wonderful year at Lev Eisha and to extend a warm “shalom” to future members who may be joining us for the first time.

What is Lev Eisha and why should you belong? We are a unique community of Jewish women (and men) meeting monthly to share prayers, songs, music, spirituality, and friendship. Our services, so beautifully led by Rabbi Toba August and Cantorial Soloist Cindy Paley, will touch your heart and soul. We have something for everyone – prayers, teachings, poetry, music, and dancing – additionally led by our incredible lay team of Robin Winston, Joy Krauthammer, Toby Schwartz, Sarah Barash and guest artists Ruth Belonsky and Sharon Alexander Dreyfus.

Your Board of Directors, after much discussion, has approved a dues increase in the basic category (Miriam) to $90 and the next category (Rachel) to $136. The other three categories ($180, $360, and $500) remain the same. We have not seen any dues increase over the past eight years while expenses have continued to rise. Lev Eisha membership is still “one of the best bargains in town”. Think of receiving ten monthly dynamic Shabbat services, five breakfasts and teachings by Rabbi August, and ten delicious Kiddush lunches annually! The spiritual renewal, the friendships, and the sheer pleasure of spending Shabbat with this amazing community of women are priceless. Please rejoin today, or join for the first time, at the highest level you can in support of our community.

Remember that we operate on volunteer power and there is always a need for additional supporters. We welcome your ideas, enthusiasm, and participation as we enter our 15th year as a congregation.

I look forward to meeting, greeting, and getting to know each of you this year at Lev Eisha services and events. Thank you for taking this opportunity to join our hamish and joyful community.

Shalom,
Barbara Brown
Lev Eisha President
